They were much more sensible. On their first day they gave everyone a chocolate. Actually, of the three bread outlets in the village the new shop is furthest from our door. We have the delivery van (soggy bread and never sure what time she's coming), the local 'supermarket' (overpriced and sometimes reheated) and a boulangerie/charcuterie (cheaper bread but variable consistency), so if the newcomers provide good bread at a reasonable price they should attract plenty of customers.
