Feel free to express your opinion any time Keith. I've heard people are not very happy with the hospital where we used to live too. It was 'purpose built' about ten years ago but without good access roads. Bear was actually admitted a couple of weeks after it opened when he fell and tore his quadriceps. He had to wait all day on a very hard trolley in casualty because they couldn't find a bed!
Apparently they have MRSA and such bugs here in France too but everything looks spotlessly clean and there are always people with cleaning equipment doing the rounds.
In France you have to pay a 'daily charge' of about 15 euros which, I presume is for food. Bear is extremely fussy so it's not surprising he doesn't like what's on offer.
However, when he was in the Polyclinique (semi-private hospital) three years ago for a knee replacement he said the food was excellent.
